Unigraphics NX is high-end multipurpose modelling software which enables to model components of any geometry in 2D and 3D. Unigraphics NX also called as UG NX or Siemens NX, is currently owned by Siemens PLM software. It is tightly integrated one of the most powerful packages of CAD/CAM/CAE, having a very fluid user interface, making it well-liked amongst the industry expert designers. It is used among different tasks for Design, Engineering analysis, manufacturing finished design by using included machining modules. In 1976, Aerospace Company McDonnell Douglas (now part of Boeing) acquired United Computing, who created new CAD/CAM divisions, naming one the Unigraphics Group. Finally, in 1980, Unigraphics was released; marking the group’s first true 3D modelling hardware and software offering. NX is developed by Siemens PLM. NX stands for Narwhal extension.
